Ants Pest Control Service
Ants are a social insect that live in colonies. Treatment plans for Ant control include killing the entire colony in Mumbai. Just spraying an ant with a typical ant spray, particularly a repellent spray will only kill a few at best. Ants usually enter a house or an apartment foraging for food or seeking shelter. Understanding the behavior of ants helps us with the recommended Ant pest control procedures in Bengaluru. They enter through the smallest openings, foraging for water or food. They search for either sweet based food or protein/grease based foods. Once they find a food source, ants will leave a pheromone trail for other ants to follow. To get Ant problem under control, inspection is an important first step.
To find Ant nests, we follow their trails. Ants lay down a chemical pheromone trail along their established routes to and from a food source so other Ants can easily find the food. Inside a house, we inspect along the carpet edges, doors, windows, and all areas of the kitchen. Baits are particularly effective on social insects such as Ants and Termites, because these pests collect food and share it with their colony. Because of this food-sharing ability, slow-acting insecticide baits such as the recommended ones listed below are best for controlling Ants, so the Ant carrying it does not die before it returns to the colony.
By the slower method of destroying the colony, baits offer a more permanent pest solution than broadcast applications of repellent spray pesticides, which inadequately repel pests from a structure.
Outside the house, we inspect around foundation walls, areas of vegetation, and mulch in Mumbai. Any vegetation found near garden and walls may hide some Ant nests or their trails. We check under items that is on the ground. Some ant nests are well hidden. Contact us for Mumbai
Facts about Ants
Ants, like honey bees, and termites, are social insects and live in colonies. The colonies are usually found in ground or in wood, but may also be located in debris or in buildings.
Most ants live in a caste system, comprising of queen, king, soldier and worker. The most common caste sighted by man is worker ants. Winged ants, the potential King and Queen, are swarming in search for new nesting sites. They are most often seen during the monsoons.
They come in all shades of color and are, in relation to their size, incredibly strong: One ant can lift a load of 40 times its body weight. Tell-tale signs of infestation are their presence, occasionally the wings of the swarmers that drop off after flight. Some species of ants create mud tunnels to protect themselves from sunlight and dehydration.
Problems caused by Ants
Various studies have reputed that ants are potential mechanical vector of diseases by carrying bacteria such as Pseudomonas, Salmonella, etc. This comes from their habit of feeding on a wide variety of food, such as soiled linen, excrement and septic dressings.
Some species of ants have a painful sting, while others have strong mouthparts that can easily cut open human skin. Their small size enables them to penetrate food and other packages, causing damage and contamination.
Implications of problems
Their search for food and their small size makes them enter the premises, where they do damage by contaminating the food and areas they get in contact with. Losses will occur, when ants are entering sealed places, or packaged food, which makes a disposal of the contaminated items unavoidable. In addition to this, the costs for maintenance and cleaning will increase significantly.
The presence of ants is a harm for a company’s reputation, especially when they are inside the premises. Their bite and sting pose a threat to the well being of any person getting in contact with them.
